What is an RBT?
RBT stands for Registered Behavior Technician. An RBT is a paraprofessional who is supervised under a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) and is responsible to implement programs that build skills such as communication, positive behaviors, and life skills.

BCBAs have a certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Obtaining such a credential requires a range of professional activities that hone a behavior analysts skill set. As a result of their training and experience, they often hold supervisory roles that oversee others in their field.
